Travel with me to Whistler - Part I
Romance, fun, fabulous places for wine and dine, skiing, spa, white Christmas - this is my Whistler!
In 2012 I went to Whistler for the first time with my then-boyfriend (now husband), he is a very keen skier and been skiing in Whistler for 15+ years. I had many first times there - first time seeing snow; skiing; being in Canada, and fast forward to present, we have been going back at least twice every ski season.
Stay
There are two mountains in Whistler - Blackcomb which is located in Upper Village and Whistler in the Main Village.
We are lucky enough to have our own condo in Blackcomb, but where else would we stay if we had to rent accommodation? I personally like The Fairmont Chalet, conveniently located near Blackcomb base, there is valet services, not that I need it, but the health club is what I love and I actually go there at every visit.
Another option is Four Seasons, also on Blackcomb side, but further from the base then Fairmont.
Otherwise, Hilton and Pan Pacific would also be recommended if you prefer Whistler side.
If you are going with (a big) family and space is the first priority, there are many BnB places that suit different family sizes and needs - booking here.
In the coming posts, I will cover restaurants that are worth visiting if you want a fabulous dining experience.
